Rick and Sarah Stein have officially opened Rick Stein at Coogee Beach, their flagship Australian restaurant now welcoming guests on Sydney’s coastline.
Set above the sands at the new InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach, the 224-seat venue brings Rick’s world-renowned “fresh seafood, simply prepared” philosophy to one of the city’s most iconic beachside locations.
Head Chef Colin Chun — whose two decades of international culinary experience include senior roles at Hilton Sydney and W Taipei — leads the kitchen. The launch menu highlights Australia’s best coastal produce, with local and seasonal seafood sourced from New South Wales and beyond.
A refined yet relaxed coastal aesthetic flows through the dining room, courtyard terrace and bar, creating an ideal setting for long lunches, sunset drinks and seaside celebrations. Following the success of their Bannisters restaurants in Mollymook and Port Stephens, this Coogee opening marks an exciting new chapter for the Steins.
