Leave your amateur’s hat at the door and shake it ’til you make it at Barangaroo’s latest cocktail class series.
Does your mixologist expertise extend as far as a vodka soda? Or perhaps a gin mixed with tonic? Well it’s time to blow the dust off those old liquor bottles sitting longingly in your cupboard and take things up a notch. The Streets of Barangaroo is looking to add a few new killer recipes to your repertoire, launching a new cocktail class series, ‘Shake it ‘Til You Make It’.
Running from Saturday 1st – Sunday 2nd July, choose from one of the six participating venues in the precinct, including 12-Micron, love.fish and Untied. You’ll be in intimate groups of up to 12, where the resident bartender will teach you how to make three of their signature cocktails from scratch (which you’ll then get to drink!). During each of the 2.5 hour sessions, you’ll also learn about different spirits, techniques and ingredients, all while enjoying a selection of canapés and share plates provided by each venue.
Graze on Bel & Brio’s charcuterie board before mixing an Espresso Martini. Alternatively, wash down manchego churros with traditional Spanish sangria at Born by Tapavino; or learn about native ingredients at Lotus with a Wild Botanist cocktail and mushroom spring rolls.
