Club Rose Bay has reopened after a year-long Merivale transformation, marking the historic RSL Club’s first major upgrade since 1979.
Justin Hemmes and Akin Atelier have reimagined the 75-year-old community institution, blending its legacy with contemporary hospitality.
The food focus is Notti’s, Executive Chef Mike Eggert’s casual take on Totti’s, serving wood-fired pizzas, pastas and grilled dishes alongside quality club classics like fish and chips and schnitzels. For drinks, Mr Pop brings 1950s jet-age style to the cocktail bar, evoking a retro airport lounge vibe.
The expansive outdoor courtyard is where things get interesting. Think full-size pickleball court, half basketball court, an Airstream bar, and lush landscaping with alfresco dining. It’s family and dog friendly, making it a genuine community hub.
The venue honours its RSL roots with a new memorabilia hall and the Ode of Remembrance read at 6pm daily. Find it on Vickery Avenue in Rose Bay, open until midnight Sunday to Thursday, 2am Friday and Saturday.
