It’s the second most wonderful time of the year! To celebrate Christmas In July, a magical winter wonderland will pop up in the EQ featuring ten days of activities for the whole family.
It’s the only time of the year that gives us the same tingle and spark as Christmas! This Christmas In July, Sydneysiders can enjoy a smorgasbord of festive activities at the Entertainment Quarter (EQ) in Moore Park for Christmas Winter Wonderland. Popping up between the 1st and 10th of July, this magical event offers something for all ages and in particular, a way to keep the kids occupied these school holidays.
Taking inspiration from some of the most whimsical Christmas markets around the globe, the EQ will transform into fantasy land. The streets will be decorated with strings of fairy lights, illuminated baubles, a giant Christmas tree and countless grammable backdrops for your family portrait.2
For the kids (and the big kids), hop on board the Santa Express and head straight to Santa’s Workshop where you’ll find a carnival of rides and amusements. Send a letter to the North Pole and meet Santa’s helpers in Santa’s Grotto, before heading to the Snow Globe Disco where you can dance amongst falling snowflakes.’Don your winter warmers and head over to Ice Land for a game of mini-golf at the North Pole Putt-Putt. Here you can also take your kids for a skating lesson, slip down the Ice Slide or build a snowman in the Snow Play area.
If your head is spinning from the thought of your kids running wild at this Winter Wonderland, Nueva Bar has you covered. Enjoy a glass of Prosecco to celebrate the festive season, sip on a refreshing Ale or keep warm with a Mulled Wine. There will be a lineup of food trucks to keep your hungry selves and kids at bay. If you want our suggestion, we’d order the Sangria Snow Cone as the perfect boozy treat and sit at the Nueva Sangria Snow Bar as you watch your kids in full view at Ice Land.
Cambridge Markets will be hosting the Winter Markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays (2nd, 3rd, 6th & 9th of July). Expect an array of incredible local produce, artisan providores, clothes and homewares, so you can shop just like at Christmas time. On Sunday the 3rd, there will be over 100 stalls for you to explore including food trucks serving scrumptious eats.
Grab your kids and join us for Christmas cheer at the Christmas Winter Wonderland this year. Entry to the streets of the EQ is free but tickets will get you into the main attractions. Tickets are just $16 for adults (years 15+), $10 for kids (4-14 years) and free for children 3 years and under. All children will be gifted a Santa Sack on arrival filled with goodies and you can also pre-purchase ride tickets online.
Since Christmas is a time of giving, Christmas Winter Wonderland will donate $1 from every adult ticket sold to the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation. Have fun for a good cause!
