The Rocks becomes a European winter village this July at the Christmas in July Festival
Christmas in July Festival Sydney returns to The Rocks from 10th to 19th July 2026, free entry included. For ten nights, kilometres of fairy lights, snow falling in Kendall Lane, European-style wooden chalets, mulled wine bars, melted raclette and the Fire Pit Cinema transform Sydney’s most historic precinct into something that genuinely feels like midwinter Europe.
Over 30 vendors line the sandstone laneways with artisan gifts, handmade creations and festive food. The iconic Snow Lane in Kendall Lane returns, with snow falling beneath glowing fairy lights alongside fondue experiences, hot chocolates, fire pits and live music throughout. The Fire Pit Cinema invites visitors to settle into deck chairs, wrap up in blankets, roast marshmallows over open fire pits and watch Christmas films with mulled wine or hot chocolate in hand. During the final weekend, the cinema program merges with Bastille Festival, adding a selection of French films to the lineup.
