Cho Cho San brings some Tokyo love to Sydney

Restaurants, Sydney / 18 June 2014

There is no shortage of Japanese restaurants around Sydney but finding quality, authentic Japanese cuisine isn’t so easy. An interpretation of Tokyo’s Izakaya might be what Sydney needed to shake things up. Serving good sake and great Japanese style bar food we welcome Cho Cho San to Potts Point.

We have the duo behind Greek restaurant The Apollo to thank for Cho Cho San. They wanted to bring some of the “big-city buzz and excitement of Tokyo back to Sydney”. The venue is very sleek and shiny with a minimalist approach. It’s a little dull on atmosphere but that isn’t a bad thing when the food deserves so much attention.

Make sure you don’t leave without trying the Green Tea Soft Serve, you can even get it takeaway to enjoy on the walk home!

Pair your meal with a bottle of sake between four people and you’re looking at around $75 per head. It’s a great place to go with a small group of friends or one-on-one with a date. This may just be the best Japanese eatery in Sydney. What do you think?
