Dust off your shoulder pads and don your finest scrunchie. Chin Chin’s ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ promises a new captivating dinner series.
Off the back of their hugely successful HYPER REAL dinner series, masters of Thai cuisine Chin Chin are getting ready for the next experiential event at its Surry Hills haunt. Frida Las Chin Chin – Smoke and Mirrors is the new 80s-inspired immersive experience, channelling notions of decadence, glamour and excess.
Joining forces with talented artist and designer, FRIDA LAS VEGAS and event stylists Valiant Events, the new series sees Chin Chin’s event space transformed into fantastical wonderland of jaw-dropping art and dining.
Running across various sessions between 12-29th June, you can feast on Frida’s favourite dishes from the limited edition a la carte menu, or just say ‘FRIDA Me’ and for $69.50 Chin Chin will bring forth their top picks from the menu.
For a limited time only, taste your way through flavoursome dishes including Frida’s Fancy Pav, made with apple jelly, minted dragon fruit, whipped rose cream, fairy floss and topped with chocolate covered popping candy. On the drinks front, you’ll also spot a limited edition Frida-tini, shaken and stirred with Midori, gin, Luxardo Maraschino, Absinthe, lemon and egg whites.
Of the inspiration for the partnership, FRIDA LAS VEGAS said: “Smoke and Mirrors celebrates the fabulous megawatt glamour of 1980s Sydney – a neon-hued urban jungle where powerful shoulder-padded alpha women ascend boardrooms, ‘do deals’, guzzle cocktails, and generally exercise their power, agency and hubris with all the subtlety of a 12-inch stiletto.”
