This is app-solutely great news for food and wine lovers. Introducing a new BYO Finder app.
According to a recent Cellarmasters survey, a whopping 74% of Aussies prefer to dine at a BYO restaurant as opposed to a licensed venue. Now, finding a great BYO restaurant near you is about to get a whole lot easier, thanks to the new BYO Finder app.
With wine retailer Cellarmasters behind the new and FREE app, you can now easily locate over 3,200 BYO restaurants across Australia, all within a few taps.
It works by pinning your location and using GPS technology to see which BYO restaurants are closest to you. Not only can the app help wine lovers discover BYO restaurants in their local area, it is also clever enough to offer recommended wines to go with your food. Genius.
“Our customers love to know they can enjoy a great bottle when they dine, which is why they prefer BYO restaurants so they can bring their own. We wanted to make it easy for them to have a great wining and dining experience every time, which is why we decided to create the BYO Finder app,” said Ben Copeman-Hill, General Manager of Cellarmasters.
While the app is useful for finding BYO restaurants in your local area, it’s also designed for the times when you’re travelling (and have no clue where to find a good BYO restaurant). Once you’ve found a restaurant, you can call and book, and then in a single tap within the app, you also can order an Uber to get there. Double genius.
Over 3,200 BYO restaurants across the country are currently listed, and restaurateurs and customers are encouraged to add BYO restaurants that are not featured (new listings will be verified).
BYO Finder is available for both Apple and Android devices from Thursday 25th July, and is free to download. There is no charge for restaurants to be listed.
