Chef Spotlight: Amber Doig, Head Chef at The Butler

From Christchurch to New York and back to Sydney, Amber Doig has built an impressive culinary career. As Head Chef at The Butler for over seven years, she blends modern Australian and Latin American flavors, inspired by her time working under top chefs in Sydney and New York. After honing her skills with James Viles and Vanessa Martin, Amber took on New York’s dining scene, mastering Mexican cuisine with the Empellón Restaurant Group. Now, at The Butler, she continues to push culinary boundaries, making her a true inspiration this International Women’s Day.

The Pairing of Power: Celebrating Women in Wine

On Saturday, March 8th, The Pairing of Power returns to the Sydney Opera House, spotlighting 15 trailblazing female winemakers. Guests will enjoy tastings, live music, and roaming canapés by Danielle Alvarez, alongside a conversation led by Bridget Raffal and co-founders of Women and Revolution, a group driving change in the wine industry. Noniesfood Gluten & Dairy Free Bakery

For years, gluten-free bread has been an afterthought—dry, dense, and far from satisfying. But Nonie’s Food is here to change that, crafting artisanal, small-batch loaves that are not just good for gluten-free but simply good. Founded by a professionally trained chef and lifelong coeliac, Nonie’s began as a labour of love in a tiny kitchen, where every loaf was mixed by hand. Now, with a dedicated space in Botany and a growing team, Nonie’s has become a staple in Sydney and Melbourne’s top health stores and homes alike. From their signature seedy sourdough to their decadent fruit loaf, each bite proves that gluten-free baking can be indulgent, nourishing, and made with care. Ready to taste the difference? You can find Nonie’s in specialty stores and online. Find out more info here.
