An intimate evening of fine dining and exceptional wines.
The Meet the Makers series at Thomas St Kitchen & Bar has been a hit with wine lovers and food enthusiasts and the final instalment promises to be the most memorable yet. On Friday 14th November, the venue will welcome Calabria Family Wines, a name synonymous with Australian winemaking excellence, for an immersive night of flavour and heritage.
Guests will join Scott McWilliams, a sixth-generation winemaker and living link to the storied McWilliam’s legacy, for an evening that delves into the history, passion and precision behind every bottle. With over a century of tradition and a reputation for award-winning wines, McWilliams’ story is one of evolution and excellence. Expect a guided tasting of premium drops including the elegant McWilliam’s 660 Chardonnay and the bold, complex Single Vineyard Shiraz 2021, each paired perfectly with a four-course menu from Executive Chef Aman Prasad.
Prasad’s menu has been designed to complement the nuances of each wine, balancing richness and freshness across every dish. The evening begins with Rabbit Tortelli and Olive Oil Confit Ocean Trout, moves through a perfectly cooked Beef Striploin, and concludes with a selection of fine Australian cheeses, best enjoyed alongside the luxurious McWilliam’s Hanwood Estate 10 Year Old Grand Tawny.
