We’re delighted to share that our visit to Jacksons On George lived up to the immense anticipation surrounding its opening. This multi-tiered dining destination injects excitement and sophistication into Circular Quay. The Bistro boasts exceptional cuisine – think pub classics with a contemporary, almost French twist. Highlights include the baguette accompanied by cultured butter, a Chicken Liver Parfait which is truly to die for, Rigatoni with a decadent gin-infused pomodoro and fermented chili sauce, and top-tier grilled meats. When Luke Mangan announced the fusion of French and Japanese flavours in his new restaurant, we were unsure of what to expect. However, after our visit, we can confidently say that it’s a delightful marriage between the finesse of French culinary tradition and the playful, inventive flavours of Japan. As you step through the unassuming entrance, you’re welcomed into a warmly lit space with a rich red ambiance, making it an ideal setting for post-work gatherings, romantic dates, or casual meet-ups with friends around the communal table. Begin with a refreshing cocktail like the Yuzu Margarita, then delve into a menu crafted for sharing, following the Izakaya style. Notable highlights include the Classic Steak Tartare served with crispy sushi rice and wasabi leaf, robata skewers from succulent wagyu to mushroom with ginger and garlic. Potts Point has landed a hot new Indian restaurant that certainly has our nod of approval. From the duo behind Ezra, a Middle Eastern restaurant located right next door, you can expect the same bustling atmosphere and a comforting food experience that makes you want to return time and time again. Step inside to be delighted by a romantic setting featuring dim lighting, ornate wooden furnishing and carved doorways. The space has soul that’s for sure, a perfect match to the Indian-inspired cuisine that’s to come. Expect it all with a contemporary twist, from stracciatella kachori and bone marrow dosa to mud crab in a hearty garlic butter sauce and spatchcock makhni. Located on bustling Kensington Street, this seafood haven transports you to the elegance of a high-end yacht. With low-hanging fabric ceilings, a palette of soothing blues, and decorative ropes, the interiors perfectly mimic the coastal-inspired menu that awaits. A commitment to sustainability and accessibility shines through in their offerings. It’s safe to say that the Swillhouse hospitality group can do no wrong. With two of Sydney’s most on-trend restaurants under their belt, Italian restaurant Alberto’s Lounge and French restaurant Restaurant Hubert, the team has now opened Le Foote. The Mediterranean grill and European-inspired wine bar is located inside a heritage building in The Rocks.
