A Brewtiful Beer and Food Truck Festival Is Headed to Sydney

Drink, Sydney / 29 March 2022

Hoptimists assemble, all our favourite brewers are headed to St. Peters for an epic day of brewskies.

This Saturday 2nd April, head to St Peters for an all-day festival curated by craft royalty, Willie the Boatman. The lineup features a bunch of beers from our favourite breweries, a delicious food truck offering (a day drinking essential), plus live music from Sydney’s best-loved band on the bar circuit – The Pragmatics. The event will also feature a HUGE jumping castle and free face painting for the kids for all-day family fun.

Willie the Boatsman’s laid-back warehouse-style brewpub will set the backdrop for the day sesh, serving up beers from their own range, as well as some other local favourites. Also on the beer list, you’ll find Batch Brewing Co. an Inner West based, Australian craft brewery with a focus on unique, handcrafted, small batch beers. Wayward Brewing Co. will be getting crafty with a selection of their indie craft beer, also brewed in the Inner West and best known for their Everyday Ale.

Of course, no beer festival is complete without a plethora of food trucks to choose from. Sydney based purveyors of BBQ, Sparky’s Jerk Barbecue will be offering up finger-licking Jerk chicken with rice and beans to boot. Be sure to ask about their range of homemade chilli sauce and jerk marinade so you can recreate the jerk magic at home. Hopportunists of the plant persuasion can check out Vejoes, Sydney’s favourite vegan/veggie food truck serving up iconic street food staples with a plant based twist.

Brazillian Samba marching band Bateria 16 will be kicking off the day’s festivities on the right foot with their 30 piece all-singing, all-drumming, all-dancing band. Following Bateria 16, beer and food truck house band The Pragmatics will return for their fifth headliner of the festival, their classic party anthems are guaranteed to have the crowd crying for more.

The incredible day-fest has been designed with help from Inner West Fest, an activation program created by the community in conjunction with Council that focuses on reconnecting the community that is emerging and adapting to COVID-19 restrictions.
