Bastille Festival Sydney is back at Circular Quay this July, and it’s free

Bastille Festival Sydney returns to Circular Quay and The Rocks from 16th to 19th July 2026, and entry is free. Over 130 exhibitors, eight French wine regions, 180-plus live performances and four days of French food, wine and pure joie de vivre steps from the Opera House.

The food this year runs from fresh crepes flambéed tableside to raclette melted in front of you, macarons in every colour and baguettes still warm from the oven. Four Frogs Creperie is serving a special Bastille edition Crepe Suzette, flambéed with CASA Triple Sec, available for a limited time at the festival and in their restaurants around Sydney.

On the wine side, the Bastille Wine Passport (from $39) gives you access to all eight festival wine bars, covering Bordeaux, Champagne, Provence, Burgundy, Alsace, Languedoc, Beaujolais, Loire Valley and Rhone Valley. The Vin De France wine bar runs guided tasting flights daily alongside three ticketed masterclasses: Aromas and Varietals at 2:30pm, Wine and Cheese at 4:30pm and Cocktail Creation at 6:30pm, each $39 per person.

The live program covers over 180 performances across four days, from rock bands and buskers to cabaret, cancan and fire acts.
