Last night, the Australian Bar Awards for 2014 were held at the Doltone House with more than 500 industry professionals there. The Australian bar industry dazzled at the year’s premier awards night for the 14th year running. The awards were presented by the Australian Bartender Magazine and had over twenty category titles to give. Here is the full list of the category winners including several Sydney based such as The Winery, The Marlborough Hotel, Oxford Tavern and the Bulletin Place:

Rookie of the Year: Edward Quatermass, Papa Jack’s, Brisbane
Best Specialty Beer Venue: The Local Taphouse, Sydney
Bar Manager of the Year: Jason Williams, The Keystone Group, Sydney
Best Regional Bar: Miss Moneypenny’s, Noosa
Pub Operator of the Year: Fraser Short
Small Bar of the Year: Varnish on King, Perth
Bar Operator of the Year: Barrelhouse Group, Sydney
Wine Bar of the Year: The Winery, Sydney
Bar Team of the Year: Eau de Vie, Melbourne
Cocktail Bar of the Year: Bulletin Place, Sydney
New Pub of the Year: Oxford Tavern, Sydney
New Bar of the Year: Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall, Brisbane
Best Bar Food Selection: Statler & Waldorf, Brisbane
Training Program of the Year: Maison by Pernod Ricard
Brand Ambassador of the Year: Justin Strzadala, Club Suntory
Outstanding Contribution Award: John Duncan, The Keystone Group
