The 2025 Sydney Writers’ Festival (SWF) is set to bring a dynamic week of literary conversation and storytelling to the city from 19–27 May. With over 200 events and more than 40 international guests and 100 Australian authors, the festival promises an exciting range of discussions, performances, and book releases. This year’s theme, In This Together, focuses on the power of writing to spark change and inspire thought. Expect to hear from influential writers on topics such as the future of artificial intelligence, feminism, First Nations truth-telling, and more. With 34 authors releasing new books in 2025, the festival is a must-attend for literature lovers and those interested in the world of writing and ideas.
