Adelaide Beer and BBQ Festival to be bigger than ever!
From July 8th – 10th, the Adelaide Showground will host a Beer and BBQ Festival. There will be four jam-packed sessions over three days. An exciting and immersive experience perfect for anyone who loves beer and a good old Aussie BBQ, it is going to be bigger and better with more to enjoy than last year.
Showcasing some of the best South Australian, Australian and International Beer and Cider with over 50 exhibitors, it will run concurrently with the Royal Adelaide Show Beer Awards. There will also be South Australian chef’s and restaurants cooking up a BBQ storm in the beer garden with some special interstate and international BBQer’s.
The menu for all BBQer’s will be curated by Duncan Welgemoed, the ABBF BBQ Ambassador. Both Mary’s Burgers from Newtown in Sydney and Rodney Scott from South Carolina will be venturing for the first time to South Australia, among others to be announced, so there is sure to be some amazing food to try.
Session 1 on the 8th is called the Knockoff Session. For 18+ only, it is on from 5pm – midnight. Including the presentation of the Royal Adelaide Beer and Cider Awards, there will be DJ’s and bands playing throughout the night to keep the party going, perfect for an after work drink and wind down.
Beer Geek Session is session 2 and will be on Saturday 9th from 11am – 5pm. It will feature BBQ cooking demo’s, information sessions, Q&A’s with brewers and more on the main stage.
Saturday night from 6pm ’til midnight will be the Rock’n’Roll Session. Over 18’s only, it is sure to be a night full of fun with DJ’s and live bands on the main stage, and lots of drinks.
The last session is Sunday 10th from 11am – 6pm. Snean Sunday will be one big party all day long with live music and DJ’s. It will also be more exclusive session with time to chat with the brewers. And if you arrive in snean’s, then your first beer is on them! P.S. Snean’s are the attractive combination of sneaker’s and jeans.
