Block out Sunday, February 9th because Woolloomooloo’s favourite summertime street party is back!
A Street Party Named Fitz is taking over the Dowling Street cul-de-sac once again, bringing live music, top-notch eats, and plenty of fun outside The Old Fitz. Now in its second year, this free family-friendly bash is all about celebrating Australia’s last remaining pub theatre, tucked away beneath the iconic 150-year-old boozer. Expect big sounds, flowing drinks, and a whole lot of theatre-fuelled antics as Sydney’s best indie artists take to the streets.
Aussie rockers The Buoys are headlining, with Murray Cook’s Soul Movers (yes, the OG Red Wiggle is bringing the funk) and DJ Elliott Hammond (The Delta Riggs, Dope Lemon) also taking the stage. While you soak up the tunes, tuck into roast chook and mushroom ragu rolls, grab a burger, or cool down with Mapo Gelato’s fruity summer treats. Young Henrys and Heaps Normal will be serving up the drinks, so you won’t go thirsty. Expect plenty of theatrics too, with live performances, burlesque, and roving entertainment adding to the action.
It’s free to attend, but reserving a spot is recommended. Plus, a portion of proceeds will go towards supporting The Old Fitz Theatre, keeping this legendary creative hub alive. Keen? So are we. Rally the crew and book a ticket here.
