Barangaroo House is turning pink this October to celebrate Sydney’s favourite blush coloured drink.
If there was ever a season to drink copious quantities of rosé, spring would be it. With daylight savings around the corner, long balmy evenings are made to be enjoyed with a glass of pink in hand. Now in its second year, Barangaroo House is hosting Rosé Rising throughout October, a month-long festival to toast all things rosé.
Kicking off on October 1st, the festival is set to transform this three-story striking waterfront icon into a destination for pink drinking and dining. The venue has partnered with renowned Champagne brands Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart and Moët & Chandon to bring the pop-up event to life. From rosé vending machines to a pink disco lift and even a tiny pink room hidden somewhere within the venue, there’s plenty of reason to head to Barangaroo House this month.
House Bar on the ground floor will be serving up the festival’s signature Rising Spritz, alongside frosé plus carafes of rosé sangria to keep spirits high throughout your visit. Stop by their custom vending machine to nab a mini bottle of Moët & Chandon Rosé Imperial to take home. Plus, purchase the 750ml version and you’ll go into the draw to spin the Rosé Roulette Wheel for a chance to win a series of pink prizes. Oysters will firmly be the star of the show here (served with a rosé mignonette). Stop by the oyster bar (open Thursday to Saturday) or take advantage of $2 oyster happy hour (weekdays from 4-6pm throughout the festival).
Head upstairs to Bea to experience their Ruinart Rosé Raw Bar, complete with Ruinart Rosé and 1/2 dozen oyster bundles, hiramasa kingfish with rhubarb black pepper, Oscietra caviar and more. Settle in for long lunch from Friday to Sunday and add a $55 bottomless rosé package to your experience. Looking to indulge in Bea’s chef’s menu? This month you can add a rosé pairing any day of the week (with the Classy package $60 or the Outrageous for $80).
Craving an alfresco experience? Flock to Barangaroo House’s rooftop bar Smoke for the chance to win a magnum of Veuve Clicquot Rosé, best enjoyed on a Saturday from 4pm with a side of Sydney’s best DJs. To keep the pink theme going, sample Smoke’s limited-edition snack menu including chicken liver parfait with flamingo gingerbread or order a sugar high inducing pink macaron with raspberry musk stick and gummy bear dessert.
To help you navigate this jam-packed calendar of pink events, Barangaroo House has created a rosé passport. Get a stamp every time you complete a new experience, with the chance to win a prize after 6 stamps.
