Melbourne’s food scene buzzes with excitement as Yakimono announces the return of its acclaimed Sake-Mono event this April. Last year, enthusiasts quickly snapped up tickets, and this year’s event is shaping up to be just as popular.
A Unique Collaboration
Yakimono partners with Yukino Ochiai, a trailblazer in sake education in Australia, for this event. Ochiai-san, the country’s first female Sake Samurai, will guide attendees through a curated selection of sake. This collaboration ensures a journey filled with discovery and appreciation.
Sake Tasting Journey
The evening starts with a crafted sake cocktail, welcoming guests to the world of sake. Ochiai-san will then lead the tasting, featuring exclusive sakes from Tsukinokatsura, Kenbishi, and Dewazakura. This selection showcases rare finds in Australia, offering a unique taste experience.
Chef Daniel Wilson’s Pairings
Additionally, Executive Chef Daniel Wilson has designed a menu that complements the evening’s sake. Dishes such as Tuna Tartare Tempura and BBQ King Salmon will feature, alongside the Yuzu Bombe Alaska. Each dish aims to enhance the sake tasting, creating harmonious pairings.
Book Your Spot
Tickets are $99 per person, and availability is limited. To avoid missing out, we recommend booking early. Last year’s event sold out quickly, and this year promises the same level of interest.
