Head Back to the Future with Brunswick’s ‘Enchantment Under The Sea Dance’ Pop-up bar.
Having already proven their retro love with the Twin Peaks pop-up bar experience back in May, the team from Tastemakers will once again reinvent Brunswick’s Howler Bar. On November Monday 6th, get your blue suede shoes ready as its time to celebrate the classic 1980s film Back to the Future with the “Enchantment Under The Sea Dance”.
Forget about Cup Day the following day, a ’50s induced hangover is the ideal way to spend your day off work for the race that stops the nation. Hill Valley High School’s famous Enchantment Under the Sea Dance, from the classic 1985 film, will be recreated for one night only at Howler Bar.
Marty McFly would surely be jealous because this is not your usual school dance affair. Howler Bar will be serving up inventive drinks created especially for the Back to the Future experience. Plutonium Shots and Marty McJitos are just two of the film-inspired drinks that will be on offer.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a 1950s-in-the-1980s fusion party without a boogie. Get ready to dance through the decades. Melbourne’s answer to the jukebox hits of the 1950s, Marty & the Great Scotts, will get your toes tapping. Donning dapper suits and strumming electric guitars, Marty & the Great Scotts will warm up the crowd with their ’50s affair. Then, while the night is still young, DJ Cassette Walkman will take to the decks. Transport yourself back to the days before iPods and Spotify. DJ Cassette Walkman will bring back the ’80s beats and bangers in style.
