Celebrated chef Matt Moran is bringing his no-nonsense approach to burgers with the launch of Proper Burgers, debuting at Optus Stadium.
Built on a philosophy of simple food done exceptionally well, the new brand focuses on quality ingredients without the fuss.
The menu centres on grass-fed beef, soft milk buns, and house-made sauces. The Original Proper Burger delivers with grass-fed beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles and Proper Sauce, while the Proper Chook features southern crumbed chicken with cabbage and herb slaw. Sides include corn ribs with parmesan and chipotle mayo, and crisp salt and vinegar onion rings.
The launch marks the next chapter in Moran’s partnership with Optus Stadium, where he’s served as culinary ambassador since 2022. Located at aisle 128, Proper Burgers will be open on all major event days, with a second stadium outlet planned ahead of the 2026 AFL season. National expansion is on the cards as Moran looks to grow the brand beyond Perth.
