The Country Comes To The Coast As We Taste Orange

Orange is one of the most prominent food and wine regions in NSW (that we had the pleasure of visiting earlier this year). And now Orange, and the cool climate wines that make it famous are coming to Sydney for the third consecutive year of Taste Orange Food & Wine Festival on Sunday 22nd of May. But it’s not just restricted to that one day. There’s a whole month of activities at Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel to celebrate the iconic region, just three and a half hours from Sydney.

The festival will take place from 11am – 5pm, with many of Orange’s most prestigious cellar doors taking part including Rowlee Wines, Philip Shaw Wines, Angullong Wines, Slow Wine Co, Cargo Road Wines and so much more. Entry to the festival is free but you an also get a pre-packaged tasting tokens, with $40 getting you 10 tasting tokens and a free limited edition Brand Orange glass to use throughout the festival.

In the lead up to the festival, Watson’s Bay will be giving you a little preview of what’s to come. They will have Orange wines along with their renowned menu all throughout the month. There will be a series of wine masterclasses at Watson’s Bay on Tuesday 10th, Wednesday 18th and Thursday 26th of May. Each event will be led by the resident sommelier, taking guests through the finest wines from the Orange region, without the 260 kilometer drive. For $45 per person, this sounds like a great experience for any true wino.
