T Totaler Tea at The Galeries

Drink, Sydney / 6 June 2018

Tea lovers rejoice, T Totaler Tea has your winter warming tea fix sorted.

Fancy a creamy French Earl Grey hot chocolate topped with pink Persian fairy floss? Or perhaps a Dark cocoa and Australian Grown After Dinner Mint with blackened biscuit crumb on almond milk? These are just some of the whacky, delectable and oh-so Instagramable brews available at the T Totaler Tea Bar at The Galeries that are going to get us all through winter.
Avid tea enthusiasts may be familiar with the original outlet in Newtown, first opening its doors back in 2014. Then in April 2017 they expanded to open a dainty little shop, located in The Galeries in the CBD. It offers a quick, takeaway-only array of brews for the CBD’s constantly on-the-run workers.

This sister store does however stick true to its distinctly minimalist fit as executed by Amber and award winning architect and artist Lucy Humphries. Scattered around the room are quirky jars, test tubes and strainers, evoking an almost clinical feel. Brightening things up are clusters of vibrant vines.

Shoppers have over 30 unique loose leaf tea blends to choose from. They also do experimental brew methods of tea, including cold brew, sparkling, cold drip, tea latte and tea-tails. Complimenting this is also a range of ceramics, tea pots, strainers and tea accessories available for sale.
Just in time for winter they have added two ne w brews to their menu. The Midnight Mint, which is made with Dark cocoa and Australian Grown After Dinner Mint and topped with blackened biscuit crumb. And the Brulee Masala Chai, which is just one of the ten unique chai’s they’ll be having on the menu to help get us through winter.
