Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s Bastille Festival.

It would seem we’re saying au revior to BBR Festival and bonjour to this year’s renamed Bastille Festival. Sydney’s most anticipated French street festival is back, bringing all the best things in life – namely food, wine and arts – to the heart of the city. Taking over Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and the Museum of Contemporary Art from Thursday 13 July 2017 to Sunday 16 July 2017, you can expect a plethora of all things French – food villages, wine gardens, live concerts, movie screens, a live cabaret show and more.

In an effort to navigate your way through this French-inspired wonderland, we’ve compiled a list of our top recommendations for this year’s event. How chic!

Champagne Bar

Did someone say Champagne bar? Live like the French do and be sure to pay a visit to Bastille Festival’s dedicated Champagne Bar during the four day event, running over 13, 14, 15 and 15 July 2017. The bar will be located on Tallowoladah Lawn in The Rocks in front of the MCA – mere metres from the scenic Harbour Bridge. Grab a glass of bubbles and take a seat on one of the retractable deck chairs with a blanket to keep you warm. You know where you’ll find us!

Mulled Wine Chalets

If bubbles isn’t your thing, perhaps a warming chalet of spiced mulled wine is more your style! Keep warm this Sydney winter with Bastille Festival’s Mulled Wine Chalets. With the temperature set to drop even further in the upcoming weeks, we can think of nothing better than grabbing a warming mulled wine whilst basking in Circular Quay’s scenic surrounds. Mulled wine chalets will be available for sale over the course of the 4 day event on 13,14,15 and 16 July 2017 from 8am to 10pm.

BBR Village

French foodies, this one’s for you. Think French food available for sale at over 40 selected stalls – offering the best of the best French eats. Be sure to don your stretchy pants, as you feast on fresh baguettes, stinky cheese, charcuterie, Raclette, fresh crêpes, baked macarons, eclairs, cakes, sophisticated chocolates and more! You’ll find BBR Village in Customs House Forecourt and Alfred Street on Circular Quay Foreshore.

Imagine an evening at the Parisian Cabaret right here in Sydney, featuring Can-can, music, songs, dance and magic. “Le Cabaret” will feature a cast of actors, singers, dancers and magicians who’ll deliver poetry, song, dance and magic in classic 19th century Parisian cabaret style.
