The Sheaf is gearing up to celebrate Melbourne Cup Day!
A hang out for young and old, The Sheaf in Double Bay loves a party and this Melbourne Cup Day will be no exception.
Sydney’s spring sun will be shining as The Sheaf pops open the bubbles for the race that stops the nation. The Sheaf is offering a special canapé package for $69pp. Arrive at 12pm and start the celebration with a complimentary glass of Veuve or a Peroni on arrival. Then make your way to the upstairs function spaces. You’ll then enjoy roaming canapés from 12- 3pm with your own bar to order more drinks.
If you’re a foodie you’ll love the spread laid before you which will include artisan breads and the finest selection of cheeses. The canapés will flow with a selection including Sydney Rock Oysters with Wakame and Ponzu, Porcini Mushroom Arancini, Tempura Prawn Skewers and Lamb Koftas. Substantial eats include a Moroccan Lamb Tagine and Wood’s Smoked Salmon. There is even a sweet treat for those craving a little more champagne.
Even if you have no idea about racing, you can still get involved in the tradition and place a bet on a mystery trifecta. There will also be best dressed prizes from Sass and Bide to be won on the day.
After the race the party will continue with the Garden Bar set to kick on late into the night.
