The Royal Hotel Leichhardt is set to transform into a beer lover’s playground next month with the launch of the Inner West Beer Fest.
If sinking schooners or hearing about hops sounds like your ideal day out, then read on because we’ve got a treat for you. This Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November sees The Royal Hotel in Leichhardt transformed into a beer-lovers delight once again for the Inner West Beer Fest.
Across two jam-packed days, punters can sample their way through a frothy line up of beer from 10 Aussie breweries. Expect the likes of the legends from Young Henrys, Batch Brewing, Willie the Boatman, Philter Brewing, Akasha and more pouring throughout the weekend. The corner of Leichhardt’s Norton and Carlisle Streets will transform into a full-blown street festival with gourmet food stalls from Asian Dumpling House and a range of Mexican Fiesta stalls on hand to keep punters fed and watered.
The fun doesn’t stop there. Groove along to live tunes all day long, courtesy of Zac from CHC DJs, Mark Travers and Matt Stewart who will be providing the soundtrack to the festival. What would a beer fest be without some classic competitions? This year, there’s a ‘best beer in show’ award (with the winning brewery earning a tap takeover) plus a ‘people’s choice’ award, earning the winner a $100 bar tab. They’ll also be scubar crab racing with a gold coin donation earning you the chance to race your very own hermit crab. Once you’ve used up your coins, head to the garage for ping-pong, arcade games, giant Jenga and more.
