Nespresso launched their new top of the range Maestria machines in style last week at very swish private home in Woollahra with a breakfast-inspired canape menu by the renowned Justin North. The new machines have a cute retro vibe, with a classic design look coming in cream white and a funky red. Described as “the ultimate in luxury” appliances, one of these slickers will set you back a cool $749, or $899 for the Gran Maestria.
These machines include coffee dials to control the pour, and the Gran Maestria comes with a steam wand, both new additions to the features of the Nespresso machine range. These allow for a more “hands-on” approach to coffee making while still maintaining convenience in creating almost barista-quality coffee. The name ‘Maestria’ is Spanish for mastery and skill, commercial manager John Ciaglia stated, “It revokes expertise, professionalism and status. Three qualities which are clearly demonstrated in the machines.”
