Riley Street Garage has launched a Ladies Who Lunch concept on Saturdays. For $60 a head you’ll enjoy a glass of bubbles on arrival and eight dish menu. Book in advance and you’ll also receive a little gift bag with a mini YSL mascara and lipstick.
This low lit venue is perfect for a winters lunch with friends. Start with your glass of Chandon Vintage Blanc de Blanc and let the dishes come out one after another. The best part is you don’t need to stop chatting to worry about placing your order, it’s all done for you.
Start with a box of smokey oysters topped with soy and truffle followed by a dainty snapper crudo.
The classic combo of beetroot and goats cheese is a nice light dish before the spinach ricotta ravioli with burnt sage butter. They make the ravioli with wonton wrappers making it extra light. Burnt sage butter makes anything taste delicious!
The stuffed zucchini flowers are a bit greasy and the eggplant gratin very salty. Make sure you mix the miso through the eggplant to ration the salt, we missed this step!
Finish with a nice, light deconstructed cheesecake. It’s delicious.
The Ladies Who Lunch is good value and a nice idea for any upcoming catch ups. And it wasn’t just ladies in the house when we dined, it seems lads like to lunch too.
