Ward off winter’s chill in one of these cool pop-up igloo bars.
We may have yet another month of chilly mornings and days of limited sunlight ahead of us, but that doesn’t mean we’re not willing to embrace Sydney’s cooler months with a touch of good ol’ socialising. Down at Sydney Harbour’s iconic Pier One, you’ll currently find a cluster of extremely alluring Nordic-inspired pop-up igloo bars, formally known as Domes on The Pier.
Provided by the group at Pier One Sydney, these domes are fit out with all of your winter-warming desires, including a roaring fireplace, plush bean bags, fur rugs and even fluffy slippers. With the winter sun setting over Sydney Harbour and Walsh Bay, settling in for an evening of glass clinking amongst family and friends from the comfort of this pop-up dome structure doesn’t sound too shabby.
This experience isn’t however for people not willing to spend some serious dosh. A small dome will set you back $400, whilst a big dome, squeezing in up to ten people, will cost $600 for a three hour rental period. That being said, such a price is still a far cry from the cost of heading to the Arctic and experiencing the real Igloo deal, right?
Domes on The Pier is set to stick around until early September, but bookings are essential. Be sure to get in contact with Pier One to score yourself an unforgettable experience. You can call Pier One on this number here 02 8298 9999.
