Tuesday

I caught up with some girlfriends for dinner at a new Vietnamese restaurant in Surry Hills called Madame Nhu. We drank wine  and reasonably priced food including salt and pepper squid.

Wednesday

I went to Rockpool on George for a special Tanqueray dinner where the entire building was lit up green resembling a Tanqueray gin bottle.

Thursday

On Thursday night Secret Foodies hosted it’s first Progressive Dinner at the newly renovated Eastern. We started at The Publican, then Chimmi’s, Anatoli (where we had this awesome octopus salad pictured) and finish at El Topo for dessert.

Friday

I went to my first NRL game and watched Manly Eagles beat Cronulla Sharks. Hmmm it was an ‘interesting’ experience. Lots of meat pies, toothless, tatted up supporters dropping the c-bomb. Probably won’t be back in a hurry.

Saturday

I caught the a ferry over to Manly and found a snail in Circular Quay. It looked pretty out of place but I guess anything is possible during the Art & About festival.

Sunday

I hosted a group of Journalists from Singapore on a Ketel One Bar Tour. The group was here with super TV celebrity (in Singas) Elvin Ng. This guy has over 50k Instagram photos. He looks like he’s 17 but is actually 32! He wasn’t a big drinker, maybe that’s his secret to a youthful complexion.
