10 Yummy Things I’ve Eaten Recently

Sydney / 12 October 2010

1. Crab Omlette from Cafe Ish- Campbell St, Surry Hills
Wow seriously delicious. Had read great reviews from fellow bloggers about this dish, it didn’t disappoint.

2.Beer Battered Oysters from Blanco, Potts Point
Sadly Blanco is no longer open it closed a few weeks ago. The owers of Beach Haus have extended and opened Steak Haus in it’s place. So it’s kind of a tease posting this picture but I had to share, these were seriously delicious!

3. Corn Fritters Salad at Cafe Maybach- McLachlan Ave, Rushcutters Bay
This place is conveniently close to my house and they make pretty decent coffee. I had this salad about a month ago and keep thinking about it. Maybach, as the name suggests, is expensive compared to it’s neighbouring cafes but they’re consistent.

4. Caponata and Goats Cheese Brushetta at Pieno- Crown St, Surry Hills
I love this place! They’re food is fresh, tasty, they don’t shy away from decent sized portions and they’re very reasonably prices. This was the second time I’d eaten there, the first time I had the Italian Meatball Sandwich and halved it with a friend. You’ll find this little gem to the left as you walk into The Winery. Definitely worth checking out.

5. Lindt Chocolate with Sea Salt
Did you used to mix salt and vinegar chips and the smarties at birthday parties as a kid? I did. I still do. This stuff is sensational!

6.  Seared Tuna Salad at The Village- Palmer St, Darlinghurst
Great atmosphere, fresh produce, good price. Yummy dish. Will order dressing on the side next time.

7. Roast Vegetable Salad with cous cous at Detour Espresso Bar- William St, Darlinghurst
Just a cool place to hang out. Stephen, Jo and the crew rock…so do their salads and wraps.

8. Seafood Udon from Siore- Foveaux St, Surry Hills
Yum! Tip: Ask for extra lemon and chilli!

9. New York Sirloin and Bulmers from Lord Roberts Hotel– Stanley St, East Sydney
Can’t go wrong with a Friday pub lunch. Try get a spot in the sun on the outdoor deck.

10. Lemon Squeeze cupcake from Sparkle Cupcakery– Foveaux St, Surry Hills
Totally a girlie affair. Kathryn, the owner is very passionate about cupcakes. What a fun job!
