Good Vibrations 2010

[ 1 ] February 23, 2010 |
Good Vibrations rained yet again this year in Sydney and with headliner act The Killers cancelling last minute as well as Friendly Fires it had the potential to be a rather ordinary day out.

I stupidly offered to buy everyones tickets which meant 10 of us had to go through the gates together on the one ticket. Arranging my own life to be punctual is difficult enough let alone 10 of my friends (including Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum).

The plan was for everyone to meet at the main gates at 3.30pm. At 3pm I reaslised I had sold/promised 10 tickets to 11 people! Oops I had forgotten to count myself. (Maybe I should be Ms Dopey not Ms Darlinghurst).

Disaster diverted thanks to The Killers no show we bought a resale ticket at the gate and walked in just in time for Salt N Pepa’s set.

Despite the odds being stacked against GV 2010 there were many highlights from the day. Here are just a few of my favourite moments from the day:

Salt N Pepa

Randoms playing in the mud

Lead singer of The Gossip makes a new friend.

Lead Singer of the Gossip, Beth Ditto rocking out in her black sequence dress

Beth rocking out with her dress off and starts talking about anal sex?! Male members of the audience cringe, females look perplexed, lesbians go wild.

“Why does everyone want to take a photo of me?” Hmmm wonder why crazy dude!

It’s a 3 man stack at the main stage

Fugly couple get it on in the sweaty dance room

The shortest and tallest man at the festival find each other, luckily we’re there to catch the special moment.

Shhh maybe he won’t notice

Bumble bee where are your pants? Oh that’s right bumble bees don’t wear pants.

Where did you get that sheep? And what are you going to do with it?

“Have you seen my friend? He went down the lane for a spew and never came back.” You call yourself a lady?
