Who said that love was dead? You can tie the knot at McDonald’s in Hong Kong.

Thinking about throwing a really special party for your wedding, engagement, anniversary or bridal shower? Take a quick plane trip over to Hong Kong and you could say ‘I do’ under the world’s most iconic golden arches. Originally launching back in 2011, there are now over 15 McDonald’s eateries in Hong Kong hosting a range of wedding party packages.

According to a CNBC report, ‘several customers confessed that McDonald’s is where they first started dating. It’s where their love stories grew. This is why several customers are interested in hosting their wedding parties at McDonald’s—to relive sweet beginnings and bring their romantic story full circle’.

On offer are four bespoke wedding packages, which each include unique venue decorations, customised games and special gifts for bride and groom and your guests.

Ranging in price, you and your lover can tie the knot for as little as $470 AUD. That’s if you decide to opt for  ‘Happiness’ party. Those looking for a really luxe day are recommended the ‘Love Forever’ party. This is the most expensive experience available, coming in at $1,600 AUD.

The big question on everyone’s lips… what does a wedding at McDonalds actually look like?

Well if you opt for the Love Forever experience, you get 2 hour venue hire, gifts for 50 guests, plus invitation and thank you cards. All classy as hell, we imagine. It doesn’t stop there either, with a pair of McDonald’s balloon wedding rings, love ballon rose, McDonalds fries photo frame and a pair of sweetly cups (any guesses?) also thrown in.

As for the venue decorations, think a romantic rose balloon arch, McDonald’s Double Apple Pie Box Cake, table cloth and seat cover for the wedding party. Teamed with flowing nuggets, Big Macs and fries, what else would you possibly wish for on your wedding day?

There’s no word yet on whether McDonald’s wedding parties will hit Australia.
