Flight Facilities & Sydney Symphony Orchestra

Music & Tech, Play, Sydney / 27 April 2016

Flight Facilities & The Sydney Symphony Orchestra team up for one huge night of fun!

Flight Facilities will be performing live with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra on Saturday 10th September in The Domain. This major event is part of the Red Bull Academy Music Weekender and set to be a huge weekend featuring over 40 artists and 12 shows spread across four days.
Inspired by their 2015 performance with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the 50 piece Symphony Orchestra and the two member band have promised a few surprises along the way, including some special guests. With Flight Facilities covering many festivals and events around the world before the show, there’s bound to be some new and remixed hits coming. Orchestral arrangements of their hit singles and tunes from their huge 2014 album Down To Earth will be featured in their set.
“Long before making ‘Clair de Lune’, we both shared a love for classical music, playing alongside an orchestra was almost inconceivable when we started Flight Facilities, but now we’ve been given the chance to collaborate and perform with one of Australia’s greatest”, Hugo and Jimmy explained at the time of performing with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
The Red Bull Academy Music Weekender has been curated by Crown Ruler’s Jamie Bennett and Goodgod’s Jimmy Sing, with the full line-up to be released in June.
You can check out their performance with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra of Claire De Lune below.
The Domain has a capacity of 15,000 so get in quick to avoid disappointment! Tickets are on sale tomorrow at 9am.
