Jamie’s Italian is coming to Sydney!

Jamie’s Italian is coming down under and with the fit-out already started on the new restaurant in Pitt St doors are due to open in July. Having opened across England and Dubai this will be the second Jamie Oliver restaurant to open in Australia after Fifteen in Melbourne. The restaurant will have space for over 200 guests over 2 floors and the design is the typical Jamie’s Italian mix of contemporary and rustic with a modern twist.
According to Simon Blagden, Group Managing Director for the Jamie Oliver restaurants we can expect “fantastic food and service at really good value.” Currently in recruitment mode it won’t be long before people are queuing up to try this new gem!

Wow this is very exciting! I will definitely be one of those people wanting to try this out. Hopefully you will be able to book tables though..
Let’s not think about the line to get in and more about the food we’ll be eating! With 200 seats capacity you’d hope they’ve got room to fit us all in!
Super excited about this but I really don’t think we can count on booking tables.
We visited Jamie’s Italian twice in the UK, once in Liverpool and then in Covent Garden. Both times we left disappointed. At Liverpool the wait, on a quiet rainy night, was two hours. In Covent Garden we turned up 15 minutes after they opened and were told the wait was four hours.
Luckily there was some amazing Mexican nearby – but I would have loved to have tried Jamie’s Italian.
i hear its being desgined by hospitality designers peckvonhartel (www.pvh.com.au)
Really looking forward to this place opening. I went to Jamies Italian at Covent Garden last year and loved it. The best tiramisu I’ve ever encountered!
