Ladies Lunch, The Village

[ 0 ] July 11, 2012 |

Birthdays, hens and baby showers seem to dominate my diary these days. It seems there is always a reason to  throw a girlie brunch.

Too often i’ve been roped into high tea. If I see another cucumber sandwich or sparkly cupcake I’m going to flip. To my pleasant surprise I recently experience the Ladies Lunch at The Village in Potts Point.

The Ladies Lunch menu is created by chef Tristan Johnson. It starts out with the antipasto plate, then the salt and pepper squid, sashimi plates, Arancini balls, hearty salads, pizza and all washed down with a glass or champagne or wine. Then when you think you can’t eat any more you get served a choice of Chocolate Fondant or Apple and Berry crumble. Definitely select the Chocolate Fondant, myself and the other girls dining around me agreed this was one of the best we have ever eaten in Sydney.

Although The Village can accommodate over 400 people it still has a nice boutique feel. Like Gazebo across the road, I think The Village has positioned itself well as both a casual dining and evening night spot.

To book your Ladies Lunch, contact The Village 8084 6057 or email; info@the-village.com.au / www.the-village.com.au. (Available: Sat- Sun 12-4pm)
