Hunting in Hyde Park. A thought bubble springs above my head with a cartoon reel of me chasing a terrified possum through the grass with a giant slingshot. I’ve done crazier things whilst intoxicated at 3am in Sydney. Sounds perfectly normal.
Put the phone down, don’t be hasty, there is no need to call animal welfare. The only commotion you’ll find in Hyde Park this month is of the musical kind at the Jägermeister Hunting Lodge. Popping up as part of the 2012 Sydney Festival the semi-permanent bar and music venue will be open to the public between 10th-29th of January for a series of intimate secret shows.
Expect one-off performances from Australian and New Zealand musicians including Tim Finn, Josh Pyke, Emma Louise, Brous, Salvation Street Shout and many more acts to be announced.
